2008- New Post - new New Year's Resolution...

Ok, so the first attempt at doing a blog for me, was a miserable failure. I thought I would have had the time and interest in writing a blog every day. It turns out that I have been too busy. But now that I have stuff to talk about, maybe, just maybe I can do it without fail. Ok, so I might not do it every day or even every week, but I am going to give it a shot.

So in case anyone was wondering...I am the Senior Art Director and Interactive Specialist at Kenton Smith Advertising and Public Relations (http://www.kentonsmithadv.com). I have been with KSA for over 2 years now and love it. I have had the opportunity to really explore my capabilities and interests in agency design work. With great clients like Regulator Marine, one of the best Center Console Boat manufacturers in the world (http://www.regulatormarine.com); Hunter sailboats, one of the world's best manufacturers of sailboats (http://www.huntermarine.com); Luhrs Marine, our awesome sportfishing yacht manufacturer (http://www.luhrs.com); Mainship Trawlers (http://www.mainship.com); Wheeled Coach, the country's leading ambulance manufacturer; US Door, the best self storage building component and roll-up door manufacturer (http://www.usdoor.com), and more; who can complain?!?

In the past two years, I have had the opportunity to work intimately with all of these brands and the people behind those brands, to design work that has elevated my personal portfolio and design standard well above and beyond anything I had done in the past. That is not slighting the work I have done in the past, as working with clients in the magnitude of the CNL's (http://www.cnl.com), Morrison Homes, Centex Homes, Orlando International Airport, etc. of the world - well, that hasn't been too shabby either. Anyway...what I am getting at is that you will see me talking about some of the stuff I do that qualifies as The Design of Life...so I want you to understand why I called my blog that. And that it is a great business to be in.

Well, that is it for now. I am going to pace myself at this point and do another entry later.

Tune back in and let me know what you think! And give me ideas of things you want to hear about.

Welcome to myself...

Since this is my first blog message, I think I should welcome myself. So thank you for coming! I really want to know if this is being viewed by people so feel free to contact me if you know me. Tell me what you think and I might just get into writing in here regularly.

I know that this is a publicly viewable blog, but I will probably try to keep this as a dairy/journal of sorts since that seems to be the craze right now.

Thanks for coming, self!!
